Fun Facts

A fun fact about me is that I love learning new languages. I am fluent in Spanish, English, and French. I am also in the process of learning Korean. I also love traveling! I have been to 12 countries and I take every opportunity to travel and see more of the world.

About Me

I am a second year Psychology, Pre-Med student from Puerto Rico at the portland">University of Portland. I am pursing minors in Biology and French and I have been on the Dean's list for 2 years now. I plan on attending medical school after graduation and specializing in trauma surgery.

Experience

As a member of Mu Alpha Theta math honor society, I had more than 2 years of experience tutoring high school students of various grade levels at my school in different math classes. During my first year at the portland">University of Portland, I volunteered as an America Reads tutor at Astor Elementary School.

Approach

As a tutor, I like to begin with student by assessing what they know and trying to connect what they know to what they are struggling with. I like to do this by helping them create mnemonics for memory, conceptual maps, and even real-life approaches they can go to whenever they have a doubt about how different concepts are applied.
