Fun Facts

I am the youngest of two and love spending time with my family and friends. I LOVE dogs and have had at least one my entire life. I love to travel and lived in California working as a camp counselor for a summer. I also traveled to Mexico this past summer. I've taken Spanish classes in school since Kindergarten.I play tennis and rollerblade A LOT. I love to watch movies and read.

About Me

Hi there!

I am an Elementary Education major who will graduate from the chicago">University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) this May. After graduation, I hope to become an elementary school teacher while pursuing my Master's Degree in the next few years.

I have been working with children and young adults for as long as I can remember in a variety of settings inside and outside of the classroom. I have worked at day camps with an academic emphasis and worked closely with students in grades 3-5. I have been a chicago">tutor for many grade levels from elementary to high school.

My approach to chicago">tutoring is that my tutees and I are here to progress and look at school work in a new way. As a chicago">tutor I do not want my students to feel pressured with me but, instead comfortable to come to me with any questions or concerns that they have about their learning so that we can work together to find a route to understanding that works best for them. Incorporating the interests of my students is a strategy I use to develop the lessons for chicago">tutoring sessions. I hope that my tutees look forward to meeting with me for our sessions and take away a fresh, positive outlook on content that seemed daunting to them before.
