I’ve always been passionate about working with children, so in my free time I love babysitting or tutoring. I also enjoy exploring new coffee shops, listening to music, shopping, and spending time with friends. Most of all, I like keeping busy with things that make me happy.

About Me

I graduated from Georgia State University in December 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Throughout my academic journey, I consistently earned recognition on the Dean’s List, and in my final semester, I was honored to be placed on the President’s List—a goal I had long aspired to achieve. I also hold a Montessori diploma for the primary age group (3–6 years old).

Professionally, I have four years of classroom experience teaching kindergarten and am currently a 2nd grade teacher. In addition, I hold multiple certifications and bring experience as a literacy coach, further strengthening my ability to support students’ academic growth. Looking ahead, I plan to continue my education at Georgia State University by pursuing a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology.

Experience

I began my teaching journey in Pakistan, where I gained experience in a kindergarten and Montessori setting. After moving to the U.S., I taught at a private Montessori school in Buckhead and later worked at a Primrose School while completing my degree at Georgia State University. After graduating, I briefly taught at Westminster before starting my career at my current charter school, where I spent several years teaching kindergarten and now teach 2nd grade.

Approach

As a child, I struggled in school and found learning to be difficult and demoralizing. In middle school, I was fortunate enough to have a teacher who, through positive encouragement and persistence, helped me realize my true potential. As a tutor, I attempt to bring this attitude to all of my sessions. Instead of giving students answers, I feel it is my responsibility to not only teach them the content, but study skills that will help them be successful in all classes!
