Fun Facts

One of my favorite activities is theatre arts. I've worked on countless plays and musicals across CT, both as an actor on stage and as crew member behind the scenes. Some of my favorite shows that I've worked on include "You Can't Take It With You," "Spamalot," and Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream."

About Me

I graduated from connecticut-state-university">Western Connecticut State University (WCSU) with a BA in English Language Arts and a minor in Theatre Arts. I currently attend the bridgeport">University of Bridgeport (UB) where I am working to obtain my Master's Degree and certification in Secondary Education: English Language Arts. My goal is to become a Middle or High School English teacher.

Experience

During my time at WCSU, I was involved in multiple college honor societies and got to present my writing at academic conferences. Throughout my studies at UB, I took part in a one-year internship program at Johnathan Law High School in Milford, CT. As an intern, I worked as a building substitute teacher within Johnathan Law High School and was responsible for leading students through daily instruction and assignments while their teachers were unable to be in attendance.

Approach

Throughout my Middle and High School education, I was fortunate to have dedicated teachers who, through persistence, positive encouragement, and passion for their subject areas, helped me to reach my true potential and develop an interest for learning that resonates with me to this day. As an educator, I believe the best way to help my students learn is to help them develop a similar interest in their studies that will inspire them to continue building their skills.
