My secret talent is that I am an expert juggler; it's a skill that I taught myself in middle school while working at a concession stand. I also have a love for football and could talk your ear off about the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys.

About Me

I am currently earning my master's degree in Theology at Southern Methodist University. After completing this degree, I will pursue a second master's degree with the hope of getting accepted into a Ph.D. program. My ultimate goal is to find a career in the classroom at either the high school or university level. I truly believe that knowledge is one thing that can never be stripped from us, so I hope to inspire other students to discover the worth of education.

Experience

During my career as an undergrad, I was a teaching assistant for the theology department; I had this position for two years. Throughout those two years, I prepped students for exams, conducted study sessions, revised and edited papers, and helped students develop effective study strategies. I have written plenty of papers at the undergraduate and graduate levels, so I love encouraging and assisting others who are struggling in the writing process.

Approach

The most effective pedagogical methodology which I have come across, and have used in the past, is the Socratic approach to learning. The goal of this method is to simply guide students so that they come to conclusions themselves. I believe this method proves to be effective because it instills within the students the desire to discover the answer in their own individual and unique way. This method truly emphasizes the learning process itself.
