Fun Facts

My deep love for art, design, and fashion is bridged through my academic background. When I'm not working, you can find me at an art museum, or working on art projects. After college, I took a job in the middle of the Texas desert to help preserve art using chemistry! Always looking to bridge the worlds of art, design, and science.

About Me

I graduated from St. Edward's University with a B.S. in Environmental Chemistry. After graduating I spent year tutoring chemistry for high school students. After, I found the itch for adventure! I moved out to Marfa, Texas to help preserve large scale sculpture in the desert climate. My main goal is to enter the field of material science so I can help research eco alternatives to the high demands of fashion and art!

Experience

In college, I had 2.5 years of tutoring Organic Chemistry I and Organic Chemistry II.

After graduating I tutored many levels of high school math and chemistry and science.

I also have worked in a laboratory researching biomimicry.

Approach

I always found the theory of science to be fun, but until it was applied in a lab setting, or related to something I cared about, it didn't stick. My approach to teachings tutoring is to help match your goals, and to tailor it to your context as a student and a creative thinker. I use flipped classroom techniques to help guide learning, while not trying to bore you or bog you down with only numbers! Science and math are based on curiosity and creativity, and it should help spark the same in you!
