Fun Facts
I shifted from a video game fanatic to a board game fanatic. I enjoy talking and learning from different people, whether we agree or disagree. I have picked up cooking because of inspiration from a cartoon.
About Me
I am a first generation Phd recipient in my extended family, and my interests are in STEM education and interdisciplinary research but particularly anything involving physics.
Experience
I have extended experience reinterpreting and conveying technical mathematics and science concepts and information to stakeholders from different backgrounds and with different levels of education. I have taught Physics courses that require much Math review for students, and I have engaged and helped many students figure out what they may be missing so that they can better build towards their goals.
Approach
I have always had a strong interest in Math and Science throughout grade school, but I know many students do not share the same interest. From my time in helping fellow classmates and other students, I found relating to them or at least finding a connection from the learning materials to their interest was a major help. This helps bridge the disinterest gap. I also try to pinpoint a weak previously learned concept so that I can correct it and help the student move forward.
