Fun Facts

To say I have a weak spot for cosmology would be an understatement. I spend my spare time reading about string theory, probing the subtleties of relativity, or gaming. I have no intention to stop learning just because my formal academic work is at an end (for the time being).

About Me

I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and finished my bachelor’s in economics at Arizona State University in 2010. I moved out to the San Jose area the following summer and have spent the last year studying applied mathematics at Santa Clara University. I've recently graduated from Santa Clara University with my master's degree in applied mathematics. I finished the two-year program in fifteen months because I'm exceptionally hard-working and dedicated. I invest a great deal in my work, and I make sure that my passion and enthusiasm show.

Although not tutoring by classical standards, I have led study groups and collaborative projects in an overwhelming majority of my courses which required such work. I developed both an appreciation and a penchant for assisting my fellow students tighten their grasps on challenging material. I have since been tutoring through Santa Clara University's learning center.

I am a firm believer in building upon a strong foundation. I prefer to reinforce familiar concepts, ask incremental and accessible questions, and thus encourage my students to approach understanding and mastery on their own terms.
