Fun Facts

One of my favorite things to do is to bake. I cannot cook, but I can make the most scrumbcious cakes and cupcakes. I am constantly trying new recipes, some turn out great other I would not feed to my dog. I love to travel, and frequent my parents homeland ( El Salvador and Greece).

About Me

I attended the dallas">University of Texas in Dallas, and am majoring in Public Affairs as well as minoring in psychology. I am currently a sophomore in college. I plan to go to law school and specialize in immigration law or family services. I want to help people who need legal help but cannot afford it. I graduated salutatorian of my senior high school, and am hoping to use that drive to excel in not only college but law school.

I have had quiet a few of dallas">tutoring experience. I first worked at the high school in which I graduated from during summer helping students who failed the TAKS test, in order to pass it. I will also be doing that this summer. I currently work for Plano ISD as an AVID dallas">tutor. I have worked at two schools, twice a week. At times I also dallas">tutor privately. I have taught a wide range of kids, and have adapted to different learning styles as well as behaviors.

I have worked with many children, some stubborn others lost and others eager. Because of this I have learned to be patient with students, as some material is hard to grasp. I do not give someone an answer, but lead him or her in the direction- in order for him or her to be able to do it themselves. I am pretty relaxed as a dallas">tutor, because I know children do not particularly like stiff and 'mean' people. However one of the key characteristics I have learned throughout my experience is to be adaptable.
