Fun Facts
After attending college, I have found a new love for art and enjoy painting miniatures for tabletop games and display! When I'm not working, you'd be able to find me in my hobby room 3D printing and painting for hours. I have two lovely small dogs, but I hope to foster more in the future with my boyfriend. I additionally enjoy random drives with a Sonic drink as my company.
About Me
I am a junior Biology and Medical Technology major at Texas Woman's University. I hope to continue my studies into either cell-to-cell communications in pharmaceuticals or change my focus to Marine Biology and Ichthyology.
Experience
In both high school and college, I was a tutor and student instructor for my peers in primarily math and sciences. I was heavily involved in Mu Alpha Theta, a mathematics honor society and National Honor Society. Entering college, I was chosen to attend LeaderShape, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to developing leadership strategies and impacting social relationships. I am also part of an independent organization providing free local tutoring to underprivileged children.
Approach
As the oldest of three children, I sat around the dinner table and helped my siblings through their developmental years. My brother has multiple learning disabilities and it felt as if his teachers were not as patient or attentive as they should have been for him. I eventually ended up teaching his and my sister's groups of friends and making a small business out of babysitting and tutoring at 14. I truly enjoy providing the opportunity and foundation of success to others!
