Fun Facts

Being raised in a hispanic home my English was limited as a child, so when my father and I watched tv we would be fascinated by everything fantasy and science fiction. To this day science fiction and fantasy are my favorite genre of books, shows, cartoons, and movies! I also penpal with many friends and enjoy doing origami. Although I am not as good as what I use to be, I still enjoy playing my saxophone.

About Me

I am a 4th grade Math teacher at white county central elementary in Judsonia Arkansas. I am a proud Alumni of The University of Arkansas Fort Smith and Harding University in Searcy Arkansas. One of my proudest accomplishments was serving my country in the National Guard 106th Army Band.m

Experience

As an Educator for 7 years I have a lot of experience in assisting elementary students achieve their goals. Not all students learn at the same pace or the same way! I enjoy using many different ways to assist students in their journey to learning. Teaching for Frog tutoring gives me joy of working with a student one on one to achieve their goals and to see the happiness of achievement in their eyes.

Approach

When I was a young student I was always self conscious of my abilities. I was afraid of mistakes and was embarrassed when they inevitably happened. But Then I had an incredible Band director who taught me that struggle and perseverance molded us into better people if we would learn from our mistakes. He taught me that mistakes are ok and that the important thing is to never quit. I feel like, more important that content is, empowering students to believe in themselves.
