Fun Facts
I have been figure skating my entire life - becoming an instructor was actually my first teaching job, and it inspired me to pursue a future in education! I love adventuring in the outdoors, going on hikes, exploring new locations, and wandering urban cities. In addition, I've injured eight out of ten toes, yet I can also tie shoelaces with my toes!
About Me
I am currently double majoring in Applied Mathematics and Data Science at the University of California, Berkeley, and my GPA is 3.95. I am involved in several organizations on campus, including science/california/san-jose">Computer Science Kickstart and Berkeley ANova, which teach computer programming skills to underprivileged middle and high school students in the upper East Bay Area. I would love to one day become an analytical software engineer.
Experience
I have worked as a teacher in several different spaces; a figure skating instructor for ages 3-60 in group sizes of 1-30, a private English and Math tutor, a physical/sexual/mental health teacher for underprivileged high schools, a science/california/san-jose">computer science lesson content creator, and a science/california/san-jose">computer science instructor for middle and high schoolers with virtual practice. I would love to expand on my experiences, as well as my skills and talents in these subjects, to help any students of Frog Tutoring in need!
Approach
I have always been inspired by education. When I was in elementary school, my mother literally had to take away my multiplication flashcards at the dinner table since I was trying to learn my multiplicative 17's over chicken soup. As I received education, met peers, and moved on to teaching students, I realized a growing amount of disinterested, intelligent students. I am so glad that I discovered my awe and interest in math so early on, and hope to provide that guidance for others.
