Fun Facts

My husband and I enjoy traveling and we have started our journey on visiting every state in the country. I love to cook and bake! It is my passion to cook amazing meals for my family and friends. I try to find new recipes to try at least once a week and I love having my daughter help me cook. I also love nature photography and I have recently started trying out that as a new hobby and so far, I love it!

About Me

I have been in the field of public education for over ten years. My experience is mainly in education/tennessee/memphis">Special Education and during that time, I have taught everything from life skills to inclusion reading to reading/tennessee/memphis">ACT Reading Prep. I hope to return to school soon to earn a certification in School Counseling so that I can transition to that area of education for the rest of my educational career.

Experience

I have ten years of experience in the field of public education. I have taught early elementary students, middle school students, and high school students. Reading is a passion of mine so I love to help students reach their reading goals and develop a love of reading! I began tutoring students early in my educational career and eventually had to stop due to professional responsibilities but I am really eager to get back into tutoring and helping students succeed!

Approach

Growing up, I was incredibly lucky to have teachers who taught with a passion. I was shown from an early age how to approach students to ensure each student meets their goals in a structured but caring way. I encourage students to explore and provide a safe place to learn while incorporating different learning strategies that are tailored to each student's individual learning styles, goals, and needs.
