About Me

I am a K-8 certified teacher in Tennessee. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Political Science and I hope to eventually pursue a career in education policy.

Experience

I have been teaching for 5 years. During this time I have also tutored students in Kindergarten-8th grade. Before I was a teacher I taught swim lessons and lifeguarded, so I also have experience with teaching adults. I am a quick study and excellent at breaking down processes to help others understand concepts.

Approach

Everybody has the potential to do well in school and while we have own set backs I am a firm believer that there are no hard subjects- just things you have or have not practiced. A lot of the time we just need people to break down concepts or explain things to us in relatable ways. As a tutor I make sure to get to know my people to ensure I can relate the topics to them. Everyone learns differently, and I approach each person as an individual and meet them at whatever level they’re at.
