Fun Facts
I am always open to new ideas and interests and through this, I have been able to create a love for reading and playing the guitar. In the future, I would also like to build on my language learning skills and be able to speak Spanish, French and Italian. I enjoy meeting new people and also seeing different cultures in how they interact with one another.
About Me
I am transferring from an out of state community college with a 3.8 GPA to University of Texas at Arlington for a science/texas/dallas">Computer Science degree. I have been on the Dean's List for 2 years in my past school. When I graduate, I would like to work in the tech field as a Data Analyst or a Software Engineer.
Experience
In my past college, I had the opportunity to work as an English Tutor, helping college students with their reading comprehension and writing skills. This has allowed me to improve my interpersonal skills, while having success in being a great communicator during my one-on-one teaching time. I was able to collaborate with students to support their study habits, as well as tutoring struggling average and advanced students in their course materials.
Approach
Personally, I believe that everyone is unique in their way of learning, therefore I adjust my approach for each person that comes to me for help. I start from topics students are comfortable with and gradually move towards more complex ideas to build their confidence in the area they are learning. This also allows me to be more familiar with each person and allow them to manage their own learning while I guide them through it.
