Fun Facts

I LOVE to dance. Since I was a kid, I have learned multiple different styles of dance: Ballet, Hip Hop, and Bharatanatyam (Indian classical dance). Now, I combine all three forms and create fusion choreographies.

About Me

I am a junior at Penn State in the 7-year BS/MD program. I completed all my credits last semester, so I am currently a research assistant in a heart transplant lab at Thomas Jefferson University. After I complete this semester, I will matriculate to Sidney Kimmel Medical College in July of this year. While at Penn State, I was on the Dean's List two years in a row and have a 3.95 GPA. After medical school, I hope to become a cardiac surgeon.

Experience

While I was a senior in high school, I co-founded a club meant to tutor and aid other students. I tutored students for SAT/ACT Math and other high schools subjects such as Biology and Chemistry. While in college, I have continued to tutor students for the SAT/ACT.

Approach

When I was a kid, I hated going to school because I couldn't understand the value of what I was learning. However, as I got older, teachers would explain or demonstrate concepts using real-life examples, which enticed me to learn more. I think showing students, especially from a young age, the real-life applications behind the concepts they are learning can motivate them to learn more.
