Fun Facts

Hi! I'm Avery (they/she), and I LOVE storytelling! I'm the president of my college's writer's club and I actively exercise my storytelling skills through my D&D group. I also enjoy working on my little personal projects in Java; I've created a Discord Bot to handle the voting system for my movie nights for fun! Hopefully we can have some fun together while working together on your academics!

About Me

I am a junior at engineering">Milwaukee School of Engineering, but academically I'm a senior. I have a minor in Mathematics, a certification in Spanish, and I'm working towards a minor in Data Science, a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, and a master's degree in Machine Learning. I've been on the Dean's List three years in a row. As far as my academic projection is going, I will be graduating first in 2026, and then again for my master's degree in 2027!

Experience

I have a lot of informal experience with helping my peers with comprehending class topics and succeeding in homework assignments. I don't have experience in a formal tutoring setting, but I get along with my peers well and am passionate for the spreading of knowledge.

Approach

I have always found it helpful to take a connections-based approach to tough topics: pulling previously understood topics together to create an easier approach to new, more complex topics. Of course, I am flexible to the needs of the individual, so we can approach problems in whichever way helps YOU learn best.
