I'm a huge fan of baseball, football, and basketball, as well as music, movies, and travel. I also love reading, doing crossword puzzles and Wordle, and exploring all the great new food options in Northeast Philadelphia.

About Me

I graduated from Philly Public Schools K-8, Catholic Philly High School, and two Big Five colleges. I currently live in Northeast Philadelphia, where I was born and raised and have returned to after extensive world travel.

Experience

I've taught math for over 30 years since graduating from Penn in 1991. I've taught all over the Philadelphia area as well as in rural Alaska, Texas, Oman, and China. I also trained teachers in Afghanistan.

Approach

Laid back and patient. I get that math isn't everyone's forte, and many students struggle with their math class. I will make you feel at ease, take away your anxiety, and help you break through where you're stuck. I've been doing this for a long time, so I've seen every roadblock and stumbling point in just about every math class. I will help you get those "Aha! I get it now!" moments that will enable you to put your frustrations aside and realize that, YES, you CAN succeed at math!
