Fun Facts
I am oddly famous on Google Maps, I love chemistry and mixing it with all disciplines, and I love helping people!
About Me
I am a first-generation chemistry major and political science minor at the charleston">College of Charleston Honors College. I plan to graduate with my B.S. in Chemistry, go on to do policy advocacy, and mainly work in environmental chemistry. In my downtime, I crochet and create other forms of art. I am an executive member of many clubs, like ASA (Asian Student Association) and GENCO (Generation Conscious, a club promoting sustainability and helping first-gen students). I am a big foodie and LOVE coffee!
Experience
As a recent graduate of the South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics (#1 in the state of SC), I got the opportunity to be a precalculus and chemistry tutor in my Senior year and a teaching and resident assistant, helping 6th- 9th grade students in STEM. I have also worked as a library volunteer, creating and helping children learn and explore their reading and creativity skills.
Approach
As a child, I grew up being held to a very high standard, and the pressure eventually took a toll on me. I know how much positive reinforcement, encouragement, and patience help any child and especially those in college. I am big on taking a holistic approach towards learning and knowing that there isn't just ONE way for someone to learn and get an idea or concept. I will never belittle, pressure, or hurt a person to learn something. I will be patient, diligent, and positive!
