About Me

I'm Matthew, a passionate tutor eager to help you excel in math, engineering, and beyond. I recently graduated from the maryland">University of Maryland - College Park with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, achieving a 3.74 GPA and departmental honors. I'm currently working on my master's in Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University.

Experience

My tutoring experience spans diverse subjects and age groups, from basic arithmetic to college-level statistics, as well as reading comprehension and writing. I've worked with students both online and in person, adapting my approach to each learner's needs.

My teaching philosophy centers on active learning. I encourage students to tackle problems independently, providing guidance when needed. This approach develops problem-solving skills and builds confidence. I tailor my methods to each student's learning style, using visuals, analogies, or hands-on exercises as appropriate.
