Fun Facts
One passion that I have recently gotten into is cooking. I am half Italian, so I love to make my pasta and pizza from scratch! I also love to read and am a frequent napper.
About Me
Hi! I'm Giovanni, a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. I will be pursuing a PhD in Physics at the University of North Texas. As a physics major, I am well prepared to teach math and science and even help with SAT prep! I've worked with various college students with various learning styles, and I genuinely love solving problems and helping others do the same.
Experience
As a Learning Assistant at UT Austin, I supported faculty in running a junior-level physics lab. I helped students develop conceptual understanding and analytical thinking through Socratic questioning and peer instruction techniques. Additionally, I attended weekly pedagogical training sessions to enhance teaching strategies and inclusive learning practices.
I also have private tutoring experience, providing one-on-one tutoring to college students in pre-calculus and algebra.
Approach
I focus on making challenging topics feel manageable by breaking them down and explaining the “why” behind the steps. I adjust my teaching style to match how each student learns best and keep sessions low-pressure and interactive. My goal is to build real understanding and help students feel confident tackling problems on their own.
