One thing people quickly learn about me is that I enjoy breaking down tricky math problems, especially calculus! I’m currently diving into science/pennsylvania/philadelphia">computer science in my free time, and when I’m not studying, you’ll probably find me gaming or searching for new food spots around town.

About Me

Hi! I'm Jerry Lin, a junior science/pennsylvania/philadelphia">Computer Science major at Temple University working toward a front-end or full-stack software engineering career. I’ve led an afterschool program for 22 students (grades 1–8), helping them with homework and explaining math and English concepts. This experience strengthened my leadership and communication skills. I'm passionate about making tech understandable and look forward to helping students succeed.

Experience

During my senior year of high school, I tutored students bi-weekly in various subjects through the National Junior Honor Society. In college, I’ve continued tutoring through an afterschool program at Max Myers Playground, helping 1st to 6th graders with math and English. These experiences have strengthened my communication and teaching skills, especially when it comes to making challenging topics easier to understand.

Approach

I believe learning should feel approachable, not intimidating. I always aim to meet students where they are, whether stuck on a small concept or struggling with the bigger picture. Since I'm still learning science/pennsylvania/philadelphia">computer science, I understand how frustrating it can be to feel behind, and I explain things step by step with patience, real examples, and encouragement.
