One thing people quickly learn about me is that I love golf and tennis; it’s my go-to way to recharge. If I’m not working in the lab or tutoring, you’ll probably catch me out on the courts or watching a tournament. Fun fact: even though my research has reached far and wide, I’ve never actually left Texas.

About Me

Hi, I’m Angel! I graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor’s in Combined Science (Biology & Chemistry), and later earned my Master’s in Medical Science. I’ve conducted research at both the UNT Health Science Center and UT Southwestern, where I gained hands-on experience in microbiology, molecular biology, and translational science. I now work full-time as a scientist in the pharmaceutical field.

With over six years of research and academic experience, I specialize in tutoring math and science in a way that’s engaging, clear, and confidence-building. My goal is to make even the most complex concepts feel manageable by connecting them to real-world applications. Whether it’s mastering chemistry, understanding biology, or breaking down equations, I love helping students not just succeed — but truly understand.

Experience

With over 10 years of tutoring experience, I’ve supported students from middle school through college in math, science, and test prep. My tutoring journey began in high school through the National Junior Honor Society, and I’ve continued ever since mentoring peers, coaching younger students, and leading study groups throughout my academic and professional career.

I graduated cum laude from Texas Christian University with a degree in Combined Science (Biology & Chemistry.

Approach

Growing up, I didn’t always find school easy. I know what it’s like to feel discouraged or overwhelmed in the classroom. But I also know the difference a great teacher can make and I aim to be that difference for every student I work with.

My approach is personal, patient, and empowering. I break down complex topics using real-life examples, build confidence through encouragement, and adapt my style to meet each student’s unique learning needs.
