Before I decided to focus on tutoring Math, I was very much into childcare. And before there was childcare, there was customer service and retail. There are many different fields that I have worked in before I finally found my niche.

About Me

I majored in Health Sciences at Grand Valley State University. I graduated in 1999 with a strong desire to be a veterinarian, but then changed my passion from helping animals to teaching math. My ultimate goal is to become a full-time math tutor, with more focus on Algebra.

Experience

I have 3 years of experience as a Math tutor, once at Sylvan Learning Centre and the other times at charter schools.

Approach

I have always had a passion for teaching Math, particularly Algebra. As I have learned through my tutoring experience, though, I realised that not everyone feels as strongly about learning it. I desire to help others understand it the way I do, and maybe have a little fun in the process!
