Fun Facts
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy trying new foods, staying organized, and finding the best study spots to stay focused. I love listening to music while I work and believe that a good playlist can make any study session better. I also enjoy helping friends with their schoolwork even when it’s not required—teaching is something I genuinely enjoy doing.
About Me
I am a sophomore at San José State University majoring in Molecular Biology, and I’m passionate about both science and helping others succeed academically. I specialize in AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP English Literature, AP English Language, Statistics, and AP Macroeconomics, and I enjoy making challenging subjects feel more approachable. I am also a member of a research lab where I study concepts of microbiology through hands-on work with bacteria, which allows me to bring real-world scientific experience into my teaching. I am known for being patient, organized, and supportive, and I always strive to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions. When I graduate, I intend to move to medical school to pursue a career in pediatrics.
Experience
I have extensive experience tutoring peers in AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP English Literature, AP English Language, Statistics, and AP Macroeconomics. I started peer tutoring when I was a sophomore in high school and continued to the present. I’ve helped students prepare for exams, complete challenging homework, and strengthen their overall understanding of course material. In addition, I have experience with peer reading and revising of college admission essays, helping students improve clarity
Approach
I want to tutor because I truly enjoy helping others succeed academically and build confidence in themselves. I know how challenging advanced courses can be, especially AP classes, and I want to be a supportive guide for students navigating that pressure. Seeing a student go from feeling confused to feeling confident is incredibly rewarding to me. Tutoring allows me to make a positive impact while doing something I’m genuinely passionate about.
