About Me

Greetings, my name is Matthew Kabyemera. I was born in Los Angeles, CA, raised mainly in the Raleigh-Durham area, and moved to the DFW area. I am a child of God, a culinary explorer, and a Haya tribe member. I am an upcoming senior in my fourth year at Texas Tech University, majoring in mathematics and minoring in chemistry. My faith, heritage, and hobbies make up who I am today. Most importantly, choosing me for this position will enhance my intelligence in my everyday life.

Approach

My teaching method allows students to remember what notes they took before what they learned in school, so they can utilize example problems similar to their homework, exams, projects, and more. My typical lesson plan is just going through an overview of the problem itself and slowly breaking it down into steps to get a better understanding of the question itself. What sets me apart as a tutor is the experience I have as a student who worked up to get my bachelor's.
