About Me
I am a multilingual electrical engineering student at Johns Hopkins University with a strong interest in the intersection between medicine and engineering.
Experience
As a color guard captain in high school, I regularly broke down complex skills into clear, manageable steps to help my teammates succeed. This role strengthened my ability to explain difficult concepts in simple, accessible ways and to motivate others when they felt stuck.
In the classroom, I have consistently taken an active role in group work and peer learning. I am often the person classmates turn to when they need help understanding challenging problems or preparing for quizzes.
Approach
My tutoring philosophy is based on true understanding rather than memorization. When I study, I identify any areas I do not fully grasp and then consult multiple resources that explain the same concept in different ways. By comparing these perspectives, I build a deeper, more intuitive understanding of the material.

Algebra Tutoring
I have completed Algebra I with an A+, and my engineering major requires a strong command of algebraic concepts, including equations, inequalities, functions, and problem‑solving techniques, so I am confident in my ability to explain these topics clearly and adapt to each student’s learning style so they can build both skill and confidence in algebra.
Algebra II Tutoring
I have completed Algebra II with A and A+ grades and have continued to apply these skills in my major. Because of this background, I am very comfortable breaking down challenging problems into clear, manageable steps.
Biology Tutoring
I have completed Biology with an A+ and developed a strong understanding of core concepts, including cell structure, genetics, evolution, and ecology. My science background has trained me to think critically, analyze data, and explain complex ideas in clear, simple terms.
Biology AP Tutoring
I completed AP Biology with an A− and earned a 5 on the AP exam, demonstrating strong mastery of college-level biological concepts.This background allows me to help students not only understand the material in depth but also develop the test-taking strategies needed to succeed in AP Biology.

Being able to speak, read, and write in Chinese allows me to help students with pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and conversational skills. I can also explain difficult concepts in clear English when needed, making it easier for students to progress quickly and confidently in Chinese.
SAT Math Tutoring
I scored a 1540 on the SAT, including a perfect 800 on the Math section. This score reflects a strong command of algebra, advanced math, problem-solving, and data analysis skills tested on the SAT. I can help students learn effective strategies, avoid common mistakes, and build the confidence they need to significantly raise their SAT Math scores.
