About Me
Hello, I am a Texas Christian University alumna and received my bachelor in music education in 2013. From there, I went on to Sam Houston State University where I studied music therapy in the equivalency graduate program. I am currently completing my requirements needed before I can present my music therapy board certification exam. I hope to one day have my own music therapy private practice or work at a school district as a music therapist.
Experience
My experience began in high school when I had the opportunity to help adults prepare for the GED exam. While at TCU, I also worked as an AVID dallas">tutor for Fort Worth Independent School District at Diamond Hill Jarvis High School. There I learned how important it was for students to have a mentor who could guide their academic endeavors. Soon after, I switched my degree to music education where I experienced teaching music in elementary, middle, and high school.
Approach
My parents were the biggest mentors growing up as I advanced in the public education system and eventually graduate school. Their support was an essential part of my life becoming successful with my education. I believe students need mentors who will help enhance their academic life. It is my desire to be a role model for students who desire to grow in their studies. My goal is to help provide students essential academic skills in order to be successful in their education.
