Fun Facts

I love to cook and garden. I typically cook three meals a day and on weekends I like to try more complex dishes. I also enjoy embroidery projects when I have time. I have a sweet nine-year old husky named Daisy and she is always the star of the show when we have visitors.

About Me

I'm pursuing my Masters in Accounting, currently taking my prerequisites at UT San Antonio. I finished my Bachelors in Political Science about 3 years ago and have since been working as political campaign manager for voter outreach and fundraising. While the work was challenging and fulfilling, I am looking for a career will give me the skills (and seed money) to run my own business in the future.

Experience

I was a dallas">tutor during college for first generation students who wanted to improve their writing and history. I enjoyed working with students who were committed to their success and it has been a pleasure to see them graduate and join the professional world in the years since. I am hoping that Frog dallas">Tutoring will connect me with students that I can connect with and share with them the fulfillment of overcoming a challenge with persistence and dedication.

Approach

I recently spent a month studying for the GRE that involved basic math and reading-comprehension/texas/dallas">reading comprehension skills. The prep program I used had a lot of tools that I found helpful and plan to share with my students. I like to build a relationship with my students that is easy-going but also holds them accountable to themselves. I feel strongly that education is for your own self-improvement and that should be the main motivating factor. As a student myself, I can relate to the pressures and give advice.
