Fun Facts

I love baking! I think I like it so much because it is hard to mess it up when you add sugar, chocolate, or butter. The website Pinterest has become my new best friend. I have found many new recipes and do-it-yourself projects that I want to try. Another favorite of mine is camping. Although, there are very few days when the weather is compatible. I love the whole process from pitching a tent to sitting by a fire. I find it all so peaceful and relaxing.

About Me

I am a senior at The memphis">University of Memphis majoring in Human Development and Learning. I will be licensed in Pre-k through 3rd grade. Once I become a teacher, I plan to get my Masters in Education as well. I love learning material that I will be able to use in my own classroom.

I have been memphis">tutoring my little sister for six years. She is eleven and fell behind due to multiple surgeries and being hospitalized. I help her with concepts, homework, and projects. I also worked with some older students over the Summer. At a technology camp I was able to work with some 7th and 8th graders on a computer with writing their own book.

All children/students are unique which means they can learn differently. Teaching and memphis">tutoring should be molded around how students learn. Working one-on-one allows a memphis">tutor to do just that. Getting to know a student will help gain trust so that they will be encouraged to learn with you. I have great pride in giving students the confidence they need to be successful.
