About Me

I am a rising second year at the chicago">University of Chicago majoring in economics and science/new-mexico/albuquerque">computer science. I love school, but I do a bunch of stuff outside it as well. I spend a good portion of my time at school assisting in managing the school's endowment through my leadership role in the investment club: The Chicago Blue Chips. In addition; I have been working to develop a investment fund "Adventure Capital" with which I intend to experiment with more complex valuation techniques and securities. I am also a varsity cross country and track athlete, a jazz pianist, a volunteer piano teacher, and an elected member of my dorm council.

Previously I have worked for PrepMe LLC, where I worked with middle-school and high-school students to improve their SAT scores. I have also had experience (as an independent contractor) teaching geometry and algebra to junior high and high-school students. Finally, I have worked as a TA for middle school level math and physics courses at the chicago">University of Chicago Lab Schools.

I firmly believe that the most effective way to albuquerque">tutor a student is to teach them how to learn more effectively. All students are different, but no matter what a student's ability level in a subject area, they will always be able to achieve their goals if they are motivated and know how to work effectively. Consequently; my goal as a mentor and a albuquerque">tutor is to find ways to instill within students a desire for success not only on the upcoming test but also in the long run; and, more importantly, a firm understanding of how to apply themselves to reach these goals.
