Fun Facts

I absolutely love to bake. If I'm not studying, my friends know they can find me in the kitchen whipping up a batch of cookies. I love spending quality time with my friends and cherishing every moment of my free time. I also enjoy swimming competitively and teaching my two-year-old niece how to swim.

About Me

I am a sophomore at Texas Christian University and currently double majoring in Business Finance and Actuarial Science with an Economics minor. What makes it possible for me to go this great school is that I have thankfully been honored with an academic scholarship. After graduation, I plan to become a certified Actuary, by passing all 10 exams.

Experience

In High School I worked as a tutor at Gideon Math & Reading Center. I primarily tutored younger kids in both math and reading and was eventually promoted to manager. I was also responsible for testing new prospective students and developing an appropriate lesson plan. Additionally, in High School, towards the end of my junior year, continuing onto senior year I tutored SAT Math alongside the teacher, even after I had finished with my own SATs. I now look forward to working for Frog Tutoring.

Approach

Growing up as a bilingual, I struggled a lot with reading comprehension and consequentially went to many tutoring centers, including Kumon, Gideon, and Hunting Learning Center. I was fortunate to be given the extra one on one time to help me stay one track with my peers. Since I know what it is like to be behind the rest of my peers, as a tutor I will make sure keep the student on track and eventually get ahead with not only the content, but also teach great study skills that are essential.
