About Me

I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Physics, a double major here at Texas Christian University. I am a community scholar and I always strive to do better. My ultimate goal is to work for NASA and be an astronaut.

Experience

I was an AVID tutor, in class tutor at Paschal High School. I tutored students in Physics, Biology, Math, Chemistry and many other classes. I am also a Go Center mentor at Paschal High School, I help students apply for scholarships and I help high school students in the application process. I am an engineering intern for Girl Start, I do engineering demonstrations weekly for girls in Girl Start.

Approach

I was born as a female kid in the capital of Nepal. Females are not sent to colleges and schools they often back home. But, my parents brought me to the States to pursue my higher education and fulfil my dream of being an astronaut. It was easy to dream but it was hard to assimilate here at the beginning. New language, new culture, new people but I struggled through it and I always stood up high. I always thought about my goal of being an astronaut and I am here today as a sophomore at TCU.
