Fun Facts
One passion of mine is chess. I have been playing and studying chess theory since I was fourteen, although I did not take the game seriously until recently. I am quickly improving and I plan to begin playing in tournaments and working toward expert and master now that I am in Philly and I have the opportunity!
About Me
I am a freshman in the Temple University Honors Program. I'm a Mathematics and Physics major and I dabble in science/pennsylvania/philadelphia">computer science. When I graduate, I hope to attend a PhD program for mathematics and begin my own research--right now, I'm helping professors with theirs for experience.
Experience
I was a member of my high school's National Honors Society and for the duration of high school, I tutored students every morning for 30-60 minutes. My proudest moment was when I helped one student in chemistry and his class average jumped from an F to an A+ in the next semester.
Approach
I will try to understand each students' weaknesses before I begin tutoring--either by talking to them, their parents, or their teacher. From that, I will determine the best method for helping the student--for example, by providing simple examples and relating them to a bigger theme or by teaching theories that are often glazed over in classes, but are essential to understanding the material (such as .the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus).

Calculus 3 Tutoring
I taught myself the material during high school and am now taking the course in college since I was unable to take an AP test to skip the course. I currently have a grade of 97.5% in the course.

I took college algebra as a junior in high school and have tutored students in it constantly since then.
Computer Programming Tutoring
I've taken and received As in several computer science courses including Java, C++, and Discrete Mathematics. I am able to assist students in learning any language (including those not listed) and understanding the problem solving process that is essential to programming.

I took AP Physics 1 in high school and I am now taking calculus-based physics at University. Thus far, I have earned a grade of 96/100 in college and I had a similar grade in high school.
