Fun Facts
I have a wide array of hobbies including dancing (hip-hop is the best!), cooking (I make the best tacos hands down) and writing/scripting. I had my own talk show for my college radio station and even appeared on 104.9 FM multiple times as a guest on other talk shows. Writing comes to me naturally and I have even been published in a book!
About Me
I am a senior Healthcare Studies with the Healthcare Administration track to become a Nurse Practioner at the University of Texas at Dallas. Once I graduate, I plan to fast track to also get my BSN.
Experience
I have worked as a tutor for 2 years one-on-one and with Mathnasium. I tested in the 95th percentile for my overall composite score on the ACT and the 99th percentile for English and Writing. Aside from my tutoring experience, I am also a bilingual speaker (Hindi and English). I have taken AP Statistics, Psychology, History and Language Arts in high school and took math one grade level ahead all of my grade school career and was a member of NHS, Theta, and Dance Marathon.
Approach
I believe education is what paves the way to success but in order to succeed one must be confident in their abilities. As a child, I struggled with math because I didn't believe in myself to get the right answer. As I have grown older, I have learned that confidence is key. Positive reinforcement, constant encouragement, and praise are what makes a student feel appreciated and develop confidence in their abilities.
