I am a fraternal twin from the heart of the Mid South Memphis, TN. My passion is connecting with people through the media to convey a universal message and most importantly tell their stories. I plan on accomplishing this goal through a fulfilling career in public relations.

About Me

Jared Waller is a rising junior public relations major at the illustrious Howard University in Washington, D.C. from Memphis, TN. At Howard, Jared has served in numerous organizations including Vice President of the Public Relations Student Society of America & Spotlight Network, where he serves as Communications & Branding Director. This summer Jared intern Havas PR in their New York office where he worked with consumer division for clients such as Little Ceasers, AQUA Carpatica, and True Citrus. His ultimate goal is to become a spoekperson for a large cooperate in order to reflect positive images of the African American consumer.

Experience

I have served a tutor for my high school peer mentorship program and have assisted numerous friends in their English/language classes.

Approach

As a child, I struggled with reading comprehension and developing strong study skills. This led me to develop a system where a utilized multiple study option, reading software, and daily meetings with a teacher to improve my skills. As a tutor, I will employ the same method to further the progression any child with the same issues.
