Fun Facts

I really enjoy solving puzzles. If there is something that I cannot figure out, whether it be a math problem or some sort of riddle, I stop at nothing to try and figure it out. I also have a desire to make people laugh. I think the best way to relate to people is through humor and when common ground is met, it makes for a better connection.

About Me

I am a junior Electrical Engineering major at San Francisco State University. I am a transfer student from Orange County where I went to Saddleback College for community college. When I graduate, I want to go to Berkeley Law to study Intellectual Property. As an IP attorney with a background in Electrical Engineering, I would like to work for a company that looks to make fossil fuels obsolete and protect the patents of the technology in the company.

Experience

I have been tutoring since 2013. I began tutoring my nephews, who have ADHD, in Pre-Algebra and continue to tutor them. I loved to tutor them because it taught me patience with students and it made me excited to see them happy from the improvement in their math skills. At this time, I was also tutoring my friends still in high school in Geometry, Algebra II/Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus. From 2015-2017, I began tutoring outside my friends and family in Calculus I,II,&III.

Approach

When I was growing up, I always remembered doing very well in math and science. My friends who weren't doing as well would naturally gravitate in hopes of better understanding the subjects we were learning. The feeling I got when I helped my friends and family was so rewarding both to the tutor and the student. As a tutor, I never see a student as a client, but as someone willing to spend time perfecting their skills, and I want to be the one to help. In this aspect, there is a mutual respect.
