I love playing any and every sport. Any time I have free time, I like to be active and outside, whether it is playing, watching or coaching sports.

About Me

I recently graduated from St. Mary's University with a Master's of Business Administration. Before that, I received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in General Business from Texas Tech University. I am going to pursue a P.H.D in Management in the Fall of 2012 and look forward to a career teaching at the collegiate level.

I worked for 4 years while working on my Bachelor's at an after school program and summer camp. The children I worked with were between the ages of 4 and 12 and from grades Pre-K to 5th Grade. Before that, I worked for a tutoring/mentoring program through Utah Valley State College (now Utah Valley University) for a year and half. I worked with students who had fallen behind in their studies and were at risk of not graduating. I met with them 3 times a week outside of school hours to catch them up and to ensure successful completion of high school.

My approach to tutoring is not to give the students the answer. My goal is to not only help them understand the concepts, but also to establish confidence in the students that will allow them to apply these concepts in the classroom when I am not there. I like to help each student get ahead so that when a new assignment or chapter is discussed in class, he or she is already prepared and can better understand what is being said.
