In my spare time I enjoy going to the movies, surfing the internet, chatting with my family and friends and watching television. My favorite type of movies are comedies. I love to watch the ION station, ME TV or any of the movie channels. I enjoy spending time with my family when attending family gatherings, celebrating birthdays, graduations or retirements.

About Me

I graduated from the University of MS in 1993 with a major in Marketing. My general and major GPA was 3.0. While employed with the Memphis Public Library I conducted programs for the young adults attending neighboring schools in the area for about 4 years. I graduated from a 1 year accelerated Dental Assistant program at the age of 43 with a 95 average.

During the 6 years that I worked for the No Child Left Behind Program I provided in-home memphis">tutoring services to assist students with improving their Reading, Writing and Arithmetic skills. I also tutored15-26 students and I identified populations of students in need of service and recruited 90 to the program. I frequently received feedback from the parents indicating that their child's grades were improving as a result of the time that I spent memphis">tutoring them.

My memphis">tutoring approach involves introducing the child to the new subject matter and going over exercises with them and then allowing them to work some exercises on their own. Once I and the child feel that they have a good understanding of the material I then leave them with a homework assignment to complete. When the next memphis">tutoring session begins I will check their homework and if there are any incorrect answers we will then review those problems or exercises together before we move on to any new material.
