Fun Facts
I happen to be a total nerd. It's not just math and biology– I love fantasy and science fiction, and love combining these with real world facts. I am currently learning how to play the violin. I raise goats, ducks, and chickens with my mother and grandparents, and bring enthusiasm to everything I do!
About Me
I graduated college from Texas A&M University San Antonio in 2016 with a major in Biology and a minor in Mathematics. Some of my highest grades were in upper level math courses! I want to take this tutoring job and eventually expand to gain teachers certification and work in a classroom environment!
Experience
When I was in high school, I helped run an after-school program that encouraged fifth and sixth graders' interests in engineering. In college I always helped my classmates with the material except in Chemistry. FrogTutoring got me through those courses, for which I am truly grateful. This is one reason why I am applying– I wish to give back to the company that helped me.
Approach
I really love keeping learning as interactive as possible, because that makes it more interesting. Transmitting my raw enjoyment of my subjects is my key strength, and not only makes the material more memorable, but helps give a more comprehensive view of each subject.

Calculus 2 Tutoring
Calculus is one of my favorite subjects, and one of the best parts of it is watching how algebra transcends itself into a completely new form of mathematics. All the formulaic tools learned in algebra suddenly become something new and powerful. I have taken Calculus I, Calculus II, Differential Equations, and an Introduction to Abstract Mathematics, and have received marks near the top of the class in all of them.
Calculus 3 Tutoring
Calculus is one of my favorite subjects, and one of the best parts of it is watching how algebra transcends itself into a completely new form of mathematics. All the formulaic tools learned in algebra suddenly become something new and powerful. I have taken Calculus I, Calculus II, Differential Equations, and an Introduction to Abstract Mathematics, and have received marks near the top of the class in all of them.
College Algebra Tutoring
Both algebra and pre algebra discover functions, and how numbers can be arranged in different manners. All my mathematics courses in college have taken these principles into account. They can be truly enjoyable to learn and teach.
Math Tutoring
Mathematics is considered a universal language, and I find it truly beautiful. I have taken Calculus I, Calculus II, Statistical Methods, Differential Equations, Probability Modeling in the Life Sciences, and an Introduction to Abstract Mathematics. I have received marks near the top of the class in all of them.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
Calculus is one of my favorite subjects, and one of the best parts of it is watching how algebra transcends itself into a completely new form of mathematics. This is what pre-calculus is all about. I am adept in advanced mathematics as well.
Trigonometry Tutoring
Triangles and their functions make up the basis of trigonometry, and fill out a great deal of later mathematics. I have some fabulous memorization tools. Beyond that, I know several real world applications for trigonometry that can make the learning easier and more enjoyable.
Algebra Tutoring
Both algebra and pre algebra discover functions, and how numbers can be arranged in different manners. All my mathematics courses in college have taken these principles into account. They can be truly enjoyable to learn and teach.
Algebra II Tutoring
Both algebra and pre algebra discover functions, and how numbers can be arranged in different manners. All my mathematics courses in college have taken these principles into account. They can be truly enjoyable to learn and teach.
Biology Tutoring
My degree is in biology. I have taken Genetics, Plant Biology, Plant Physiology, Bacteriology, Evolutionary Theory, Ecology, and the General Biology courses for my degree.

Statistics Tutoring
I have taken two courses in statistics, Statistical Methods, and Probability Modeling in the Life Sciences. I received high marks in both. The first course taught me the basic functions of statistics, whereas the second taught me how to apply my knowledge to new situations. Both are invaluable in teaching statistics to others.
Middle School Math Tutoring
Middle school math falls under a wide purview, but most of it is either order of equations, statistics, or geometry. I have taken two statistical courses in college (Statistical Methods, and Probability Modeling in Life Sciences), am adept at geometric problems in multiple dimensions, and have some excellent memorization tools for order of equations.
Science Tutoring
I have taken courses in physics, geology, environmental science, and chemistry. I also am an avid stargazer. Its true that I do specialize in Biology–after all, it is my major– however, that doesn't mean that I am lacking in the other sciences. All of these qualify me to give the instruction and enthusiasm that elementary school science requires.
