Fun Facts
I did not know how to properly swim until I was in college! I decided it was time to learn when I joined the triathlon team. It was hard work but now I can swim a lot faster than before.
About Me
My name is Bryant Salinas and as a first-generation college student, I have made it my mission to work closely with students in science to pursue of higher education. My own pathway reflects this mission as I completed a BA in Psychology while concurrently completing the premedical curriculum, and currently finishing up an MA in Psychological Research at CSU Long Beach. My goal after completing MA is to apply and get into a Medical Scientist Training Program (also known as MD/PhD programs).
Experience
I have tutored high school and college student, both privately and through various programs, for several years in science-related courses. These subjects included math, biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, statistics and biological psychology. Many of the programs I worked with trained students in the biomedical research fields to pursue higher education (PhD programs).
Approach
Science subjects can be confusing and difficult to grasp at times. I use various visualization techniques and analogies to help students understand the material at an intuitive level. I also provide study skills and habits to improve student progress as a whole.

MastersAdvance Statistics Tutoring
My current degree has a heavy emphasis on research methods and advance statistics in order to analyze experimental outcomes. I have also taken many intermediate and advanced statistics courses throughout my undergraduate and graduate degrees and received A's in all. I have tutored fellow colleagues and students struggling in statistics with much success.

I have completed the pre-medical curriculum during my undergraduate career. This included passing 3 quarters of General Biology with an A in order to be competitive for medical school. I have also tutored high school and college students in Biology.

I have completed the pre-medical curriculum during my undergraduate career. This included passing 2 quarters of Organic Chemistry with an A in order to be competitive for medical school. I have also tutored high school and college students in Organic Chemistry.
Psychology Tutoring
My undergraduate and graduate degrees are in Psychology, meaning I have years of experience in this field. I have passed every upper level Psychology course with A's as well as completed graduate level Psychology seminar courses. I have tutored students studying for the new MCAT in the psychology section.
Algebra Tutoring
Much the first years of tutoring were with high school students in this subject. I helped each student get from C's in their class to A's by the end of the year. Algebra is a subject I have the most experience teaching.
