Fun Facts
I've spent most of my childhood traveling. Ever since I was little, my family and I have taken numerous road trips in order to explore the world around us. This has enabled me to gain a better understanding of places around me and has allowed to appreciate the differences from one area to another. Because of this, I am now an avid traveler and enjoy experiencing new locations.
About Me
I am a first year graduate student in the area of Bioengineering at The University of Texas at Dallas. I graduated college with a degree in physics with an emphases is in mathematics. I've always enjoyed the sciences and truly enjoy explaining difficult concepts in the simplest way possible. After graduation, I plan on becoming a professor in order to live a life filled with teaching and research.
Experience
During high school, I was part of a math club that allowed me to tutor kids who were struggling with math. This was my first time tutoring and I instantly fell in love with it. Throughout my college career, I've always met up with friends and tutored them.
Approach
My approach to tutoring is simple. I believe that any subject can be taught in a way that is relatable to the student. So I first like to build rapport and get a true understanding of what my student likes. This also allows me to facilitate an open environment that will allow each of us to communicate with each other freely. Soon after, I begin teaching the student using their interests as a foundation for the subject that they are having trouble with.
