Fun Facts
I am completely infatuated with books! I love to read, collect, and decorate my room with them. When I'm not reading, you can find me scribbling down a short story or poem. I come from the beautiful state of Colorado, but I am loving it here in Texas. Also, I can be bribed with a good cup of coffee.
About Me
I am a student at Southwestern Assemblies of God University, and I am majoring in English. I managed to keep a 4.0 GPA throughout college while holding down a job, and I hope to do the same in college. While some of my scholarships are for academics, the majority were earned through writing competitions. When I graduate, I hope to start a career as an editor for a publishing house.
Experience
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to tutor students and watch them learn. In high school, I tutored a home school student in algebra. Once I started winning writing competitions, I was constantly being asked for help with a paper. Now that I am in college, my English professor recommends me to students who need help with essays.
Approach
My goal isn't just to help a student get a good grade; it is to help students understand concepts and develop a love for learning. Everyone learns differently, so I am committed to creating a unique approach for each student. With persistence and plenty of encouragement, I believe that every student can be successful not only in classes, but also in life.
