Fun Facts
My fun fact that I always go to is that I'm Native Hawaiian! I love Hawaiian food (especially the desserts) and will gladly recommend places to go and fun activities/sight seeing to do if you ever want to vacation there!
About Me
I am a sophomore at University of California - Los Angeles where I am double majoring in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular genetics (a very long major title) and minoring in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences with a concentration in Oceanography! I also have a passion for photography and violin performance.
Experience
I graduated high school summa cum laude in District 204 and I was involved in a variety of extra curricular activities. I was a violin tutor for middle school students for two years and I volunteered at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago. Since I've been in college, I worked for UCLA's yearbook as a studio photographer and continued to pick up volunteering opportunities when I could.
Approach
I have two years experience as a violin tutor where I worked with middle school students on the music that they were assigned at school. I learned that the private lessons were fun and productive with students who had a passion for music. I hope to help students find a passion in whichever subject so that they can successfully learn the material without needing me to give them the answers.
