Fun Facts

I am a very unique person. My sister would say weird because of my wide range of interests. I love sports. I played varsity ice hockey in high school and am currently on the TCU club ultimate frisbee team. I love and have an eclectic taste of music. I play the guitar, was in school choir for 7 years, and was casted in some high school musical productions. Those are just a few interests.

About Me

I am a sophomore Biology major with a Chemistry and Math double minor at Texas Christian University. I started college by being a TCU scholar in my first semester. I currently have a 3.55 GPA. After I graduate I hope to go to Medical School with the goal of becoming an Orthopedic Surgeon. After medical school, I hope to serve in the US Army by being an Army doctor.

In high school, I tutored many students in math, notably geometry. Senior year, I helped teach a school sponsored ACT review that took place the hour before class began. I usually fielded the math questions. In college, I am an Intro Biology Teaching Assistant. This position requires me to know the material and instruct the students in the laboratory portion of the course. In all of these experiences, I have found helping young students achieve their academic goals to be exceedingly rewarding.

Through my years of school I have found that memorizing a notebook full of material to be quite boring and unexciting. Once I was able to see how everything seemed to relate in some way to another subject or current events, I actually started to enjoy learning. As a tutor I with always try to encourage the student to look deeper then the pages or problems to see that school actually does relate to real life.
