Fun Facts
I skim board, surf, and act. I have visited -- and spent time in -- all the states but Alaska. I've lived as far south as Florida as far north as Massachusetts and as far west as Hawaii. I have climbed glaciers in France, joined acting troupes in Greece, and gone surfing in Japan.
About Me
My passion is stirred by firsthand experience. In past summers, I have counted trees, collected bugs, and banded chicks. This past winter I pruned trees with the Charles River Conservancy. In the spring, my Cambridge Science Festival exhibit let passers-by explore and imitate birdsong.
Experience
I have a MFA in Playwriting and an MA in Mathematics because I am passionate about teaching and discovery. I have taught and tutored all ages from preschool through college, in disciplines from biology to physics to mathematics.
Approach
Working in diverse environments has taught me how to guide
students gently and then to get out of their way. In addition, my
experiences as an actor and a playwright have taught me how to inspire students to uncover their own ideas and express them. My goal is to get students excited about learning, the world, and the future.
