I drink Chai tea lattes on my spare time. I love to cook, most people would say I am pretty healthy and picky about what I eat, but I love it.
I have a three month old Chihuahua named Tinka who follows me all the time. I love to listen to music and be outdoors doing anything adventurous.

About Me

I am originally from the nation of Panama where I was born and raised. I am 22 years old and I have a younger sister named Christy and nephew named Elliott. I have always loved school since I was a little kid and my dream was to one day have my very own classroom. I love to work with students and to see them grow and develop into learners. I also have a passion for creativity and the arts.

I gained most of my tutoring experience when I lived in Austin for a year. I started off tutoring a kindergarden boy who spoke with me in Spanish only. Then I tutored a 3rd grade girl for 3 1/2 months at a local library. And my last experience was tutoring and mentoring three young girls, a kindergardener, a first grader, and a fifth grader, for 4 months in Spanish as well. We went over different subjects, mostly focusing on reading, comprehension, and writing.

As a tutor I love to get to know the student and see where their area of strengths are and their area that may need improvement. I encourage students to work independently with me by their side as a guide steering them in the right direction and keeping them on track. I love to see students learn things on their own and get excited when they realize that they can do it. As a tutor, I try also to be their mentor that shows them study skills that they can take with them to the classroom.
