Fun Facts
I have many hobbies which include running, swimming, playing basketball, music production, and design. I have lived in Texas for most of my life. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I am also an active member of my community; and have volunteered in events that promote public health and raise awareness about health disparities.
About Me
I am currently a second-year dental student at NYU College of Dentistry. I earned my Bachelor's of Science degree at Trinity University, with a minor in Chemistry, in May of 2018. I then went to attain a Master's degree in Medical Sciences before applying to dental school, in May of 2019. My ultimate goal is to become an oral health care provider with a focus on patient-centered care, and aim to be a leader in my community.
Experience
I have worked as a tutor since high school, where I started through my National Honor Society. In college, I worked as a teaching assistant in Organic Chemistry II Synthesis Lab and General Chemistry Lab. My experience has mostly been with university and and high school students, but I am eager to expand my horizons.
Approach
The way I tutor every student is through deductive based reasoning. Essentially, what I do is take a really complex problem and then break it down into all of its specific components. I then analyze each individual component and see how they are related to one another (if at all), and then I see how all of them work together to create a whole concept.
